In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials while efficiently managing inventory in the warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to optimize the supply chain and warehouse processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials and products. Develop and maintain strong relationships to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers. Seek cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Coordinate and process purchase orders efficiently through ERP System.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure purchased materials meet specified standards.
- Monitor and control costs related to procurement. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control processes. Monitor stock levels, reorder points, and lead times to optimize inventory levels.
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving and storage. Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
- Maximize warehouse space utilization and organization. Implement efficient storage solutions.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfill internal and external orders accurately and on time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or proven experience as a Buyer.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and supply chain management.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using ERP Systems (Epicor)
