A healthcare facility in Upstate New York is actively seeking a patient-oriented and dedicated Oncology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (NP / PA) to join their growing oncology team at their Facility in Erie County, NY. In this role, the Oncology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (NP / PA) provides healthcare services to patients, encompassing health promotion, cancer prevention, acute and chronic illness care, and education and counseling for patients and their families.

Responsibilities :

The Oncology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (NP / PA) :

  • Assess patients' physical and psychological status through interviews, health histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic studies
  • Conduct patient examinations and collect physical condition information
  • Order medical equipment, supplies, and various diagnostic tests (e.g., lab tests, X-rays, CT scans)
  • Develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, including disease diagnosis and appropriate care plans
  • Provide patient care, including administering injections, immunizations, wound care, and prescribing medications and therapies under supervision
  • Interpret and evaluate findings from diagnostic studies, ensuring therapeutic plans align with patients' ongoing care needs

    • Qualifications :

  • Current NYS Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Certification
  • Oncology experience and knowledge
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

    • Salary : $110,000 - $150,000
