Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the operations of the wax, treeing, shell molding, and pouring departments.
- Ensure production schedules are met with a focus on quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of wax patterns, tree assemblies, shell molds, and pouring processes.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures and best practices for all front-end processes.
- Train, mentor, and manage a team of skilled workers, ensuring they adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the engineering and quality control teams to ensure product specifications and quality standards are met.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Oversee inventory management for materials used in the front-end processes.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a foundry or casting manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP (Epicor preferred).
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
