A leading financial institution is currently seeking an Oracle ERP Business Analyst to analyze business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop data-driven solutions to support the finance and accounting departments.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (10 days a month onsite)
- Hours: 8am to 4:30pm (EST)
Responsibilities:
- Conducting and facilitating user acceptance testing, including developing and executing test cases, validating and documenting results
- Developing test plans, test criteria, scenarios, and documentation to ensure acceptance of delivered solutions
- Providing training and support to finance and accounting users on developed systems and processes
- Collaborating with finance and accounting stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify pain points, and find opportunities for improvement
- Creating detailed requirements documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support agile development
- Participating in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Working with development teams to ensure solutions align with finance and accounting department needs
- Leading change management initiatives, including organizational assessments, stakeholder analysis, and change roadmaps
- Developing project plans and roadmaps for implementing preventative and corrective actions to remediate control deficiencies
- Ensuring proper identification and documentation of preventative, detective, and corrective controls
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience using/implementing Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP Applications
- Experience using/implementing Oracle EPM and ARCS Applications
- Familiarity with Data Engineering concepts
- Knowledge of data mapping and requirements building
- Understanding of Data Integration, Data Governance, and Data Warehousing
- Experience with standard ETL tools and techniques
- Strong problem resolution skills, including root cause analysis
- Experience leading and working within highly collaborative teams
- Experience managing multiple priorities independently and in a team environment
- Strong knowledge of data querying, reporting, forecasting, and analysis
- Experience in market/consumer research, project management, and strategic analysis
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software
Desired Skills:
- Master's Degree
- Proficiency with advanced data analysis techniques using SQL or Python
- Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile environment
- Familiarity with R, Python, or SAS
- Experience with Data Interpretation, Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis
- Understanding of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics and modeling
- Experience in data mining, data wrangling, and data transformation with both structured and unstructured data
- Moderate skills in SQL and querying
- Knowledge of Data Management, Data Validation, and Information Analysis
- Experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud reporting tools (BI Publisher, OTBI, FAW)
