A healthcare network in New York City is looking to fill an immediate need at one of their Brooklyn facilities with the addition of a new Payroll Coordinator.

About the Opportunity :

  • Start Date : ASAP
  • Department : Perioperative Services
  • Schedule : Monday to Friday
  • Hours : 9 : 00am to 5 : 30pm (35 hours / week - 1 hour lunch)

Responsibilities :

The Payroll Coordinator :

  • Manages and processes biweekly payrolls using Kronos system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Generates and analyzes payroll reports for management, providing insights and ensuring data integrity.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Maintains and updates employee payroll records including changes in exemptions, insurance coverage and direct deposit information.
  • Addresses and resolves any payroll discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Works closely with Human Resources and Finance departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Assists with internal and external audits related to payroll.
  • Provides excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues.
  • Identifies and recommends improvements to payroll processes and systems.
  • Assists Payroll department with reporting needs and analysis.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience, with a strong background in Kronos payroll
  • Experience in a hospital setting and experience working with organizations with 100-500 employees
  • Proficiency in Kronos payroll systems with a strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
