Position Summary
The Manager, Finance and Accounting will be primarily responsible for performing accounting and reporting functions through the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports and processing the day-to-day accounts payable for assigned entities. This individual will analyze trends, costs, financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict cash flows. Working closely with the Senior Director, Finance & Accounting, the Manager, Finance and Accounting will facilitate timely and accurate reporting to senior management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close duties and assist with the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement packages, along with supporting schedules
- Generate detailed financial reports in QuickBooks and Excel, providing insights into operational performance
- Assist with accounts payable functions, processing payments to vendors, managing invoice payments, maintaining vendor files, processing credit memos, reconciling statements and resolving discrepancies
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to support strategic investment decisions
- Ensure the accurate and timely entry of transactions into QuickBooks, investigating and resolving any discrepancies in relation to supporting schedules
- Oversee and manage multiple bank accounts, ensuring accurate tracking of operational expenses and cash inflows
- Monitor daily cash balances and projections to maintain optimal liquidity while maximizing interest returns
- Review contracts, orders, vouchers and prepare reports to substantiate accounting treatment in accordance with GAAP
- Support and contribute to ad-hoc projects as assigned by the team, providing flexibility to meet evolving business needs
