JOB SUMMARY
The extrusion mechanic will be responsible for completing maintenance tasks and repairs while contributing to a safe and cost-effective work environment.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitates the maintenance of all pump and filtration systems including diagnosis, troubleshooting, evaluating and repair.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment, supplies related to pump filtration and safe-ty procedures.
- Maintain, repair, and install a wide variety of machine parts, components and equipment.
- Effectively communicate with peers, production associates, and supervision.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Must have experience and knowledge of machine operation and troubleshooting
- Must demonstrate an understanding of safe work environment and have a proven ability to work safely
- Must have a solid work history showing the ability to maintain a good attendance record
- Must have your own set of standard tools
- Plastic extrusion experience is a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree/certificate in related field or
- Comparable manufacturing experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Intermittent periods of crouching, kneeling, working in confined areas and in varied temperatures and out-doors as necessary to safely service equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
