we are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst & Scrum Master who will be responsible for successful project delivery and ensuring quality and consistency in our software development and data movement processes. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Software Development & Engineering with geographic flexibility to work remotely offered by Tanger’s hub-and-spoke approach to a modern Teams-driven workplace.

About the Role :

As the Quality Assurance Analyst & Scrum Master, you will work closely with software engineers and other Technology team members on project planning, application support work items, test plans and peer code reviews. You will facilitate stakeholder collaboration with internal department stakeholders as needed to ensure successful project delivery.

How you will contribute to what we do :

QA Responsibilities (70%)

Define, develop, maintain, and execute test plans and scripts.

Test software to ensure proper operation and free from defects.

Develop and maintain a test case inventory.

Record and track defects uncovered during the execution of tests.

Collaborate with software engineers as needed to resolve problems and identify the root cause of product defects.

Utilize tools and methodologies to improve individual / team effectiveness and to increase efficiency in the QA process.

Reduce manual QA effort by developing automated tests when necessary, using tools like Selenium or similar.

Participate in peer code reviews and technical meetings by providing appropriate and constructive feedback.

Scrum Master Responsibilities (30%)

Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, reviews, estimations, retrospectives, sprint, and release planning, demos, burndown tracking, and other scrum-related meetings.

Triage incoming application support work items.

Report and manage resolutions between end users and the engineering team.

Assist the Product Owner with product goal definition, and product backlog management.

Support Project Manager with project planning and release dates.

Escalate issues and impediments to the supervisor and other stakeholders to ensure successful completion of projects.

Facilitate stakeholder collaboration as needed and remove barriers between stakeholders and scrum teams.

Perform other responsibilities as needed based on department requirements.

About You :

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent in a related field and a Scum Master Certification (CSM or PSM).

You have 4 (four) plus years of software testing experience.

You excel at effective problem solving and critical thinking skills.

You possess strong written and verbal communication skills (ability to speak to business owners, end users, and engineers alike).

You can convert product backlogs into work items.

You can conduct scrum ceremonies.

You work well both individually and in a team environment.

You understand the software development life cycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

You can create test plans, test cases, and analyze the output and create reports.

You are familiar with test automation tools.

You have experience with testing of SOAP / REST web services and APIs.

You have experience in using Microsoft ADO (preferred) or other application lifecycle tool.

You are familiar with various testing methodologies.

You have experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.

You handle responsibilities without consistent oversight and demonstrates self-motivation.

Hiring Range Disclaimer :

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Tanger's total compensation package for employees.

Hiring Range : $59,400 - $90,750
