We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Technology Asset and Logistics Manager to oversee the management and logistical operations of our technology assets. This individual will be pivotal in managing the entire lifecycle of hardware and software assets, optimizing inventory control, and supporting the organization's technology requirements through strategic logistics and budget planning. The ideal candidate will possess project management experience, a deep understanding of asset management systems, and a proven track record of streamlining operations to support business continuity.
This is a hybrid position, which will require in person attendance several days each week in one of the following locations: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.

What You’ll Get
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 to $245,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.

What You'll Do
- Asset Management:
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of all technology assets, from procurement and deployment to maintenance, upgrades, and disposal.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of all IT assets (hardware and software), ensuring up-to-date inventory aligned with organizational requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to identify and source technology assets based on organizational needs, budget planning, and future growth projections.
- Oversee relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, quality control, and adherence to contracts.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliation of assets across all departments to ensure proper tracking and compliance.
- Generate and maintain detailed reports on asset inventory, lifecycle status, and financials related to asset procurement, usage, and disposal.
- Monitor asset usage, identifying underutilized assets and reallocating as needed to optimize resource management.
- Collaborate with finance teams to track asset-related costs and ensure adherence to budget parameters.
- Logistics and Distribution:
- Coordinate asset distribution logistics to ensure timely and efficient delivery to end-users, whether onsite or remote.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation, secure handling, and timely delivery of technology assets.
- Manage the process of returning defective items, warranties, and organize secure disposal or recycling of retired assets in compliance with environmental and data privacy regulations.
- Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Establish and enforce standardized procedures for asset procurement, inventory tracking, and disposal, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Ensure all processes comply with industry standards, security protocols, and data protection regulations, including data wiping from devices prior to disposal or repurposing.
- Continuously review logistics and asset management processes to identify opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and operational efficiencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in asset management, logistics, or IT operations
- Proven experience in managing technology asset inventories (hardware, software, and licenses) across large, complex organizations.
- Strong understanding of asset management software and tools, with ServiceNow experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with vendor management and logistics planning, including shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for process improvement.
- Knowledge of technology asset management best practices and industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage change and drive continuous improvement.
