Position Summary: The Application Developer position is responsible for the development, support, and maintenance of internally developed programs, scripts, or other various tools used across the organization. Development could include integration with existing systems, creation of brand new programs and systems, or a combination of both.
Application Developer Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains new internal programs
- Provides support for internally developed programs
- Documents program functionality and configuration
- Collaborates with other developers and other departments within the organization
- Communicates between different departments regarding system requirements, program specifications, and other related information.
- Helps define, establish, maintain, and adjust internal software development protocols, procedures, and standards.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Application Developer Skills and Specifications:
- Experience developing desktop applications with C# or .NET.
- Experience integrating various systems with web-based REST APIs to connect different services/data.
- Experience working with a team of different disciplines.
- Experience with SQL or other databases.
- Communication of technical requirements, concepts, or features with non-technical personnel.
- Experience managing workload with project scopes, task lists, and other tools.
Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, or methodologies to perform tasks.
Application Developer Education and Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (preferred)
Minimum of 2 years’ of direct programming experience
Application Developer Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of Application Developer, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of Application Developer, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
