Centro is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our Davenport, Iowa team. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Associates as an onsite representative of our human resources team. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and possesses a comprehensive understanding of HR practices and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside our team of HR professionals to execute various HR programs and initiatives that align with the organization's objectives.
- Assist in the recruitment of new Associates as needed.
- Provide onboarding support to new employees, ensuring a smooth assimilation into the company culture and processes.
- Administer and track employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
- Manage and maintain accurate HR records, including personnel files, performance evaluations, and training records.
- Advise employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and compliance matters.
- Assist in resolving employee relations issues by conducting investigations and offering appropriate guidance and solutions.
- Oversee employee leaves of absence and accommodations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Coordinate and conduct HR-related training sessions for employees and managers.
- Collaborate with the HR team to enhance and streamline HR processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion.
- Solid understanding of recruitment and selection processes.
- Proficiency in HRIS Use (ADP preferrable) and MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
A pre-employment physical and drug screen is required.
