Tankersley Food Services in Van Buren, Arkansas is looking for a Buying Assistant to join our team.
The Buying Assistant will comprehensively assist the buying department with administrative and operational support.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Include but not limited to the following:
- Run daily/weekly reports
- Oversee shipping schedules
- Update databases
- Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
- Follow up with suppliers as needed
- Copies, Scans, files and retrieves materials as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to operate office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, or copier
- Ability to interact professionally with customers and co-workers
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required, (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Clerical/Office experience required
- At least two years of related experience
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
