Route Driver and Merchandiser

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong driving skills, the ability to handle heavy lifting, and ability to operate a box truck. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and would like to have a 3 day work week and no weekends except an occasional short Saturday morning then you should apply today.

Responsibilities

• Operate delivery vehicle safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload products using appropriate equipment
• Navigate assigned route while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transport.
• Communicate effectively with owner/operator and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Account for all product by physical count each morning and maintain accurate inventory
• Utilize a handheld computer to create invoices and proof of delivery
• Collect payment at some locations
• Be able to work very early mornings for around 10 hours per day every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
• Plus other duties or responsibilities requested by the customer or deemed necessary by the operator

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience is preferred, CDL is not required
• Previous experience in route driving is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
• Familiarity with equipment handling is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage delivery schedules effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers

Pay: $150.00 - $200.00 per day
