Essential Job Responsibilities
- Enter patient payments into database
- Ensure accuracy of data
- Communicate fee schedule discrepancies to Business Office Director
- Maintain strict personal, customer, and company confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned
Education: High School diploma or GED required
Experience: Data entry experience preferred
Other Requirements
- Basic computer knowledge
- 10-key accuracy by touch
- General working knowledge of medical billing and processing is preferred
- Knowledge understanding of basic medical terminology is helpful
Performance Requirements:
- Knowledge of medical billing and processing
- Knowledge of coding and clinic operating policies
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Proficient skills in computer programs
- Ability to understand and interpret policies and regulations
- Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with others
