What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Navigator - Oncology Services (Days) position at Tanner Health System?
Responsible for assisting the physician in clinical care of all patients to include patient assessment, develop and administration of the patient care plan, intervention, and evaluation. Will have advanced responsibilities to assist in the day to day clinical operations of the office.Required Knowledge & SkillsEducation : See License / Certification RequirementsExperience : Three years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.Licenses and Certifications
- GEORGIA LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE OR MULTISTATE NURSING LICENSE
- HEALTHCARE PROVIDER (CPR)Qualifications
- Three or more years of related experience in oncology, Acute Care, or infusion experience as a LPN required.
- Must possess the sense of discipline to work in accordance with accepted clinical standards.
- Must maintain high degree of confidentiality.
- Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient's medical records, physician's orders and medical orders to be communicated to patient, hospital, and or other physician.
- Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees and physicians.
- Prior experience performing oncology tests & labs required.
- NOTE : BLS within 1 monthMon-Fri 8am-5pm
