Qualifications
- Two years previous experience relevant to position (i.e. registration, scheduling, utilization review in healthcare). Previous experience or knowledge of scheduling & order management, medical necessity, and other financial clearance techniques preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Relevant training or education may be considered as experience. Management experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to interact and work well as a part of a team oriented environment.
- Proficient use of computer equipment.
- Ability to organize for maximum time utilization and smooth patient flow.
- Ability to comprehend and apply a large variety of operating procedures.
- Ability to make independent decisions, displaying emotional maturity and using sound judgment.

- Proven ability to act as a positive influence in a leadership role and to effectively work with others at all levels within and outside the organization.
- Ability to read and write legibly, with spelling accuracy.
- Successful completion of the Certified Healthcare Access Associate exam or HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative within 90 days of employment and completion of educational requirements to maintain certifications as warranted.
