The Tanque Verde Unified School District encourages the development of meaningful programs involving volunteers. Volunteers may be selected by the school principal or designated staff members. Depending on the district needs, volunteers will be recruited, screened and placed in appropriate areas for which they are qualified and where there is a need.

The Governing Board strongly supports the use of volunteers throughout the school system in keeping with the philosophy of the District that we are all partners in the education of our children.
Volunteers can make many valuable contributions to the students and educational programs in this District. A volunteer program is approved subject to suitable rules, safeguards, and regulations as developed by the Superintendent.
The Superintendent shall promote appropriate annual recognition of volunteer services and may develop procedures for recruitment, assignment, and conduct of volunteers.

DayTrip and Site Volunteers
Parent, Legal Guardian, and Grandparent Volunteers who participate in day trips or volunteer at a site with supervision must check in at the school front office and are not required to be fingerprinted; however, all other volunteers are required to be fingerprinted and complete a TVUSD Volunteer application.
The online Volunteer application contains the following
ALL Volunteers (including parents) who are participating in overnight trips are required to complete a Volunteer application online and be fingerprinted.
If you have a current IVP Fingeprint Card, you can attach a copy to this application.

- TVUSD Confidentiality Acknowledgement
- Volunteer Emergency Contact Information Form
- Criminal History Information Affidavit (form attached must be notarized for overnight travel)
