QA Inspector, Pheonix, AZ
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Q.A. Inspector will be responsible for the inspection of parts during production.
Expected Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Opportunity to work overtime on Saturdays
Responsibilities:
- Ensure product quality by inspecting items during and after production to uphold high standards and promptly report any defects or issues to press operators and supervisors.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections by taking samples from each press lot when notified.
- Utilize basic computer skills to navigate and input data into production systems, tracking progress, documenting results, and communicating effectively with the team.
- Assist with the part-breaking operation.
- Measure sintered parts after the break-up and provide feedback to the supervisor.
- Operate measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to measure products and ensure they meet company standards.?
- Consistently meet daily quotas to achieve quality targets, contributing to team efficiency and overall output.
- Preform other duties as required.
Criteria For Success
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- MUST be considered a U.S. Person eligible to work in the United States.
- MUST be able to read and write in English.
- Reliable transportation is essential
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with various software applications are necessary
- General knowledge of Inspection processes and procedures preferred.
- Ability to use a microscope for visual inspection.
- Capability to use micrometers and calipers.
- Possess a collaborative team-oriented mindset and personality with a hands-on can-do attitude.
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- Ability to keep workspace clean and adhere to all safety rules and company policies.
- Demonstrates strong sustained attention and concentration skills to maintain focus and productivity on complex tasks over extended periods.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- General office and manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to hazards associated with manufacturing equipment and tools.
- Requires manual dexterity and ability to manipulate small objects.
- Involves repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds.
- Sitting for extended periods and standing on hard surfaces during shift.
- Walking to various stations within work areas.
- Sitting, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling motions.
- Ability to handle small tools, parts, and machinery with precision.
- Visual acuity for reading measurements, assembly instructions, and monitoring equipment.
- Will be required to wear appropriate PPE as outlined by company safety protocols.
