Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will support the rehabilitation process for patients, assisting in their recovery and promoting overall well-being. Duties
- Assist physical therapists and rehabilitation staff with patient care activities, including exercises and mobility training.
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is clean, organized, and ready for use.
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions, providing encouragement and support while ensuring safety.
- Document patient progress accurately and report any changes or concerns to the rehabilitation team.
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities of daily living.
- Maintain a positive environment that fosters patient engagement and motivation throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Training in front desk reception and training in UA collections
Qualifications
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to rehabilitation practices.
- Experience or familiarity with outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation settings is preferred.
- Understanding of geriatric care principles, particularly in relation to mobility and strength training.
- Experience with orthopedic conditions is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating empathy and patience towards patients' needs.
