Position Purpose
Responsible for the direction and administration of branch operations. Ensures that established policies, procedures and systems are followed. Oversees provision of a full range of services to members and prospective members. Actively manages member cross sale initiatives in support of organizational goals. Ensures member needs are promptly and professionally served. Provides leadership, supervision, direction, training and development support to branch staff. Responsible for business development and proactively work to build relationships within the community. Actively promotes TAPCO’s products and services to members and prospective members.

Requirements:Position Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and direction to branch staff. Ensures staff are well trained and understand Credit Union policies/procedures, products and services, and legal requirements. Ensures ongoing coaching and development of staff. Monitors individual performance and effectiveness, conducts performance reviews, and implements corrective actions as needed.
- Embed diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and accessibility (DEIBA) into your daily workflow.
- Participates with management to develop, set and administer cross-sale goals; member onboarding plans; outbound calling; and excellent member service in fulfilling member needs.
- Accountable for goal achievement and growth of TAPCO through retention, expansion, and acquisition tactics, leading the branch team to success by modeling and coaching appropriate behaviors in achieving individual and team expectations.
- Responsible for maintaining proper cash controls. Ensure all branch transactions balance at the close of each day. Oversee individual accountability for handling of cash and assists tellers in resolving balancing problems.
- Responsible for the effective and efficient performance of branch operations. Ensure that branch operations are conducted in accordance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements and service functions are delivered promptly and accurately. Supervises work scheduling and workflow of daily routine operations.
- Responsible for Business Development, developing “centers of influence” and networks in the community and with internal business partners to prospect, develop and drive relationships that translate to member growth and goal achievement.
- Ensures effective partnership with internal business units to facilitate organization business needs. Manages and approves branch expenses to budget. Prepare branch activity reports and make recommendations for process improvements to create staff and member experience efficiencies.
- Ensures proper maintenance and general housekeeping of building, grounds, work areas and equipment is performed.
- Ensures branch security. Opens and closes the building in accordance with set hours and tests security equipment quarterly and trains staff on security and robbery procedures.
- Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of and adheres to the requirements of all related policies, procedures, rules and regulations required for position.
- Registers and maintains registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry in accordance with TAPCO policies and procedures.
- Maintains in depth, up-to-date knowledge on all credit union products and services.
- Demonstrates an understanding of and adheres to the requirements of all federal, state, and local laws, including those of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), as it specifically relates to the job functions.
- Assumes responsibility for other duties as required or assigned.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two-year college degree in business, finance or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisory role in branch operations, including teller services, member service and/or loan administration.
- Knowledge of consumer lending practices and federal/state consumer lending regulations.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, leadership and supervisory skills and experience managing others.
- Ability to perform math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages). Understanding of bookkeeping and accounting.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Professional appearance, dress and attitude.
- Ability to use related computer software, Microsoft Office products and business equipment, including adding machine, copy machine, coin and money counting machines.
- Flexibility is necessary as an employee’s job responsibilities may change at any time during employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or related field.
- 2-years’ experience as a supervisor or manager in a credit union, bank or other financial institution.
- Understanding of the credit union’s field of membership.
- Thorough knowledge of Credit Union services and products.
- Previous lending experience.
Position Working Conditions
- The work environment is an office setting.
- Travel by car may be required – must have valid driver’s license and vehicle.
- Movements frequently and regularly require using the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Frequently required to sit and stand for longer periods of time.
- May need to respond to critical or emergency situations inside or outside of regular working hours.
Salary Range: $77,968.80 - $80,883.92/salary
