What are the responsibilities and job description for the WILL CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE CLERK position at Tapia Brothers Company?
The duties and daily responsibilities of the Will-Call Customer Service Clerk includes taking orders placed by the customers and Tapia Brothers Sales Representatives. You will have access to our Target data system to allow you to enter orders and review orders to be picked up during Will-Call hours. You will make sure all orders are picked up correctly and any orders to be delivered due to shorts are accurately loaded and ready for delivery. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the office and market to understand their problems and find innovative solutions for the broader market.
You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with all the Buyers and their counterparts to assist you in any questions regarding product. Owners, Upper Management, and Sales Representatives will be contacting you periodically to assist them in sourcing specialty item products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Answer incoming calls in the Will-Call Department
2. Greet all customers coming to Will Call
3. Take orders from all Will-Call customers (as well as phone orders from the sales team)
4. Send orders out to warehouse crew
5. Assure the customer is receiving the correct product
6. Creating invoices for customers and sometimes receiving payments
7. Scheduling appointments for incoming goods with correct PO#
8. Receiving drivers with return merchandise and signing off return sheet
9. Data Entry (Drop & Stock sheets; inputting orders; inventory)
10. Receiving Tapia Drivers and checking off returned merchandise sheet
11. Communicating with warehouse crew of any goods that need to be put away
12. Help locate drivers (if needed)
REQUIREMENTS
Strong work experience
Good communication and customer service skills
Excellent Organization, and a sense of urgency
Proficient in basic computer applications
Knowledgeable in technology
Proficiency in basic math
Effective communication skills
CELL PHONES
NO CELL PHONES ARE PERMITTED DURING WORKING HOURS. (THIS INCLUDES EARPHONES). Cell phones may be used only during breaks and lunch hours. Failure to comply with this rule will result in being sent home as well as a formal write-up.
SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday, Saturday (As Needed)
Hours: TBD
If you are going to be tardy and/or absent it is your responsibility to contact your immediate supervisor before your scheduled start time. If you are absent two consecutive working days a doctor’s note is required
Eligible for forty (40) hours of sick pay, the first of the month following thirty (30) days
VACATION (based on years of service)
1-2 years = 40 hours
3-9 years = 80 hours
10 years and over = 120 hours
