Tapper’s Diamonds and Fine Jewelry is actively seeking a full-time Area Sales Manager at our West Bloomfield location. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Management

· Be an active and involved participant of the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System)

· Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales/EBITDA goals

· Coach and lead Sales Management to deliver profitable growth

· Define, document, and train sales staff on Tapper’s Expectations

· Lead the recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching/development, and review of sales management and Sales Associates

· Ensure that sales teams live Tapper’s core values (Spread Joy, Care for the Company, Live for the Team, Play to Win, Be Community Minded and Do the Right Thing) and meet or exceed one-year plan and three-year picture (our business objectives) by fully integrating EOS as a fundamental approach to doing business

· Assist in building Tapper’s Diamonds & Fine Jewelry into an employer of choice with a salesforce that top salespeople want to join

· Oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets

· Ensure all company tools and processes are used in accordance with Tapper’s expectation

· Leverage all CRM tools and resources to build Tapper’s client base

· Define and coordinate sales training, coaching, and measurement programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives

· Participate in creating policies that position our sales associates to consistently exceed customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction, loyalty, and engagement

· Work closely with the marketing and merchandising teams to create successful promotions and customer event outcomes through proper planning, communication, and follow through

· Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing sales opportunities as needed

· Attend meetings with key vendors, as required

Staff Management

- Plan, organize, schedule, and supervise the Sales and Sales Management team for West Bloomfield and Novi

- Create the environment for communication of updates from Sales Management as required

- Deliver ongoing sales training and product knowledge sessions on a regularly scheduled basis throughout the year

Operations Management

- Partnering with our on-site security team, help to maintain a consistent level of safety and security for our guests and Associates

- Suggest new procedures or modifications to existing procedures to improve store sales and operations efficiency

- Understand all technical aspects of the store and handle the IT issues through communications with IT department including, keeping systems up to date as requested

- Consistent and accurate performance when navigating digital applications used corporate wide, including Time and Attendance, Office productivity tools, POS, customer relationship management, and brand-specific applications used on a computer or mobile device

- Participate in the annual physical inventory process and cycle and case counts

- Stay abreast of industry trends by reading trade and industry publications and by attending professional and industry meetings

- Participate in a variety of community events and/or organizations to develop new business

Job Qualifications:

- Successful experience building a go-to-market strategy and corporate sales plan

- Proven experience selling luxury products (jewelry and/or watches preferred, but not required)

- Successful experience closing large ticket transactions ($100,000 , preferred not required)

- Successful experience monitoring and evaluating Sales Associate progress against stated expectations, in addition to aligning and changing behavior through ongoing, individualized coaching with performance expectations

- Successful experience managing a team of Sales Directors (store managers) at multiple locations

- Experience managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities

- Successful experience hiring and onboarding Sales Managers and Associates

- Experience providing executive updates with market and customer feedback to the corporate leadership team

Working Conditions

· Retail store environment based in West Bloomfield

· Minimal travel, mostly local

· Full time-5 Day work week

· Schedule includes Saturday’s and occasional Sundays

· Job requires some extended hours during peak periods

Additional Information:

Salary is commensurate with experience which includes base salary plus bonus and commissions.
