Instrument Technician Lead
Taproot Rockies Midstream LLC, an oil and gas midstream company headquartered in Denver, CO has a need for a Lead Instrument Technician at our field operations near Briggsdale, CO. The ability to work well across the organization is key. While reporting to the VP of Engineering, most of your direction will be provided by the Sr. Project Engineer and the Director of Operations. You will work closely with our producer clients and supervise contract instrument techs when needed.
Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for instrumentation and controls related to liquid gathering pipelines. You will program, install, operate, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, instruments and controls including but not limited to the following:
- Crude Oil LACT Unit instruments and controls
- Produced Water LACT Unit instruments and controls
- Variable Frequency Drives for centrifugal and gear pumps
- SCADA Communications to include cellular, mod-bus, serial, and “Tropos”
- Flow Computers (ABB Flow-X)
- Measurement database updates for new LACTs and meter corrections
- PLC Programming (ABB Flow-X and Allen Bradley)
- Ignition Perspective Programming
- Coriolis meters
- Mag Meters
- BS&W Analyzers
- Pressure and temperature transmitters
- Crude oil sample systems
- Electric actuated valves (both control and shut off)
- LEL and H2S detectors
- ESD systems
- Coordinate activities with our producer clients including Point to Point testing and troubleshooting
- Coordinate activities with a 3rd party 24-hour control center including MOC submittals, Point to Point testing, and troubleshooting
Compensation
- Hourly Rate based on experience expected to be $45 to $55/hr plus overtime above 40 hrs/week
- Three Weeks (120 hours) of paid vacation per year
