Tara Pharmacy, SE, LLC is looking for a Data Entry Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama
DUTIES:
- Assists pharmacist in the processing of medication orders and the packaging of prescriptions. Provides excellent service to customers.
- Data entry of prescription re-orders and new orders for existing patients
- Data entry of prescription orders for new admissions.
- Process back-up documents. Coordinate and follow-up with offsite pharmacy to fill prescriptions timely and accurately.
- Answer phone calls from facility staff regarding status of prescriptions.
- Call facility for clarification of existing prescriptions.
- Data entry of patient information, medical records, medical treatments & prescriptions.
- Responsible for running facility census, cart check, and delivery sheets for cycles.
- Demonstrates knowledge of pharmaceuticals; drug strengths, dosage forms and routes of administration.
- Assists with pharmaceutical inventory.
- Responsible for printing labels, retrieving medications, accurately filling orders, printing manifest and preparing tote for transport to facility.
- Communicates issues, problems, barriers with Pharmacy Director to ensure timely resolution.
