The Pointe at Kirby Gate Senior Living Community is currently seeking an Activity Coordinator to assists the Activities Director in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating and coordinating a wide variety of multi-level recreational and educational activities for the residents of the facility.

The Pointe at Kirby Gate Senior Living Community is currently seeking an Activity Coordinator to assists the Activities Director in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating and coordinating a wide variety of multi-level recreational and educational activities for the residents of the facility.
Essential Functions
- Assists in planning and coordinating resident activities.
- Encourages resident participation in programs and activities.
- Escorts residents on activities away from the property as assigned.
- Assists with the registration of residents for trips and programs.
- Maintains necessary activity supplies, which may include outside purchasing.
- Assists in the surveying and interviewing of residents to determine interests, talents and resident satisfaction.
- Maintains general observation of residents and shares appropriate information with staff.
- Follows departmental budget guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 2 years of experience in planning and directing activities for elderly residents, and in planning and organizing special programs for residents, families and staff.
- Good verbal communication skills, including ability to give directions to others in a manner that is pleasant and easily understood.
- Ability to display enthusiasm and a positive attitude in promoting activities, and in enlisting the support of facility team members for activity programming.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
