Skills and Qualifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification or equivalent experience. Networking and Security Specialty Certification is preferred.
- 8 years of experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on AWS and migrating applications to Cloud.
- Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and configuration management (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Terraform, Ansible).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or government, with knowledge of compliance requirements.
- Experience leading technical teams and driving architectural decisions.
Key responsibilities for cloud architecture and migration include (but are not limited to):
- Lead the design and architecture of cloud solutions, including infrastructure as code, microservices architecture, serverless computing, containers, and data storage.
- Define cloud migration strategies and guide the adoption of AWS services to modernize existing applications and infrastructure.
- Architect highly available and fault-tolerant systems on AWS, leveraging services such as AWS Lambda, Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, Amazon S3, etc.
- Design secure cloud environments, implementing best practices for identity and access management, data encryption, network security, and compliance.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring of cloud resources using tools like AWS CloudFormation and AWS CloudWatch.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Developers, DevOps, SysOps and SecOps engineers, and other team members.
- Stay current with AWS platform updates, new features, and industry trends, evaluating the impact on the architecture and recommending adjustments as needed.
- Conduct performance optimization, cost analysis, and capacity planning for AWS infrastructure and services.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess technical feasibility, and propose cloud solutions that align with business objectives.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of third-party tools and services to enhance cloud capabilities.
