Position Overview:
We are seeking a kind, caring, and reliable paraprofessional to provide in-home support on weekends. This role involves assisting clients with daily routines, promoting their independence, and supporting their unique needs in a comfortable home setting.
Responsibilities:
- Support clients in engaging with activities that enhance their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Monitor and ensure the safety and comfort of clients at all times.
- Communicate effectively with families and other team members.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities and care provided.
- Provide limited personal care assistance, such as meal administration.
Qualifications:
- Possession or eligibility for a Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP)
- Passing score on either ACT Workkeys, ParaEducator, or Praxis ParaPro, OR Associate Degree or higher, OR 60 or more college credits.
- Experience in caregiving, paraprofessional work, or a related field
- Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities with professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Weekend availability is required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14 per week
