The Intake Mental Health Counselor, under the supervision of the Director of Intake and the Chief Intake Officer, is responsible for maintaining a safe therapeutic milieu on intake waiting room and inpatient psychiatric units. The role involves conducting safety checks, patient monitoring, triaging the waiting area, and providing supportive interactions with patients.
Successful candidates will have:
High school diploma; previous experience in the mental health field preferred but not required.
Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries.
