Role Description
Tarbell’s door is always open to Restaurant Managers who understand how to deliver precise, polished, intimate service at high volume. We are a very busy fine dining restaurant with a singular style of caring for our guests that requires a dedicated focus to every aspect of operations. A successful manager will be able to motivate a knowledgeable staff to continually hone and enhance their skills and to crave continuing education. Our style of service involves a fair amount of unpredictability; a flexible, quick-thinking, and positive attitude is critical. A Tarbell’s manager will love wine, work to achieve industry certifications, and share that love with guests and staff without attitude or arrogance. They will enjoy staying ahead of the pack in continually enhancing our wine and cocktail programs.
We’re looking for 2 to 4 years’ experience but also put high value on enthusiasm, loyalty, and work ethic. We offer competitive salaries and (after an introductory period) 3 weeks’ vacation, handsome performance incentives, 401k, health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
Qualifications
We prefer candidates with the following qualifications. However, these are not always required. We highly value, enthusiasm and willingness to learn and grow within the industry.
- Experience in fine dining service and knowledge of wine pairing
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of food and beverage offerings
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
- Manager food handler's certification or willingness to obtain one
