Tarboro Health and Rehabilitation is currently seeking an Accounts Payable / Payroll Clerk to join our team of dedicated caregivers. Experience is preferred.
Responsibilities include :
- Create, maintain, and update semi-monthly payroll data in the payroll system, including hourly and salary data and incentive bonus programs
- Record changes affecting wages including taxes, direct deposits, and wage increases
- Review payroll registers and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
- Conduct weekly payroll data entry within set timelines
- Reconcile, code, and enter invoices and upload into accounting system for payment
- Contacts suppliers, buyers, and employees to research questionable items on invoices
- Performs basic Accounts Payable (AP) analysis with knowledge of policies and procedures
- Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees, helping with the understanding of company benefits, payroll processes, and company policies based on employee handbook
- Ensure all new hire paperwork and background checks are completed within state and federal guidelines
- Assemble, audit, and maintain new hire personnel files for all active projects
- Respond to verification of employment requests within 48 hours
