A Skilled Nursing Rehab Director is responsible for overseeing the entire rehabilitation department within a skilled nursing facility, including managing a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, developing and implementing individualized rehabilitation plans for residents, ensuring compliance with regulations, and monitoring the quality and effectiveness of rehabilitation services provided to residents, all while collaborating with other healthcare professionals within the facility to optimize patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities of a Skilled Nursing Rehab Director :
Clinical Leadership and communication :
Assess resident needs and develop comprehensive rehabilitation plans based on medical evaluations and physician orders.
Supervise and provide clinical guidance to the rehabilitation therapy staff, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists.
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document findings accurately.
Ensure the integration of evidence-based practices into rehabilitation programs.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the facility, including nurses, physicians, and social workers, to coordinate resident care plans.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and insurance companies regarding treatment plans and progress.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care needs
Operational Management :
Manage the day-to-day operations of the rehabilitation department, including scheduling appointments, staff assignments, and resource allocation.

Required Skills and Qualifications :
