Job Title: Equity Quantitative Trader (Bi-Lingual Chinese & English)

Job Description:
Our client is a leading Chinese quant hedge fund. They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Equity Quantitative Trader to join their team in New York. The ideal candidate will have experience in systematic or algorithmic trading, a strong technical background, and the ability to communicate effectively in both Chinese and English. This role requires expertise in researching, developing, and optimizing trading algorithms while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance execution efficiency. The client is looking for someone with US equities market experience, other asset classes will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, and implement systematic trading algorithms across equities or futures markets.
- Maintain, monitor, and enhance existing trading environments to ensure smooth execution.
- Track, analyze, and optimize quantitative trading strategies, managing execution risk based on market microstructure.
- Develop and maintain tools for risk monitoring, profit & loss analysis, and position reporting.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, researchers, developers, traders, and risk managers to refine and implement trading solutions.
- Stay updated on macro and micro market environments, providing market insights and adjusting trading strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional experience in electronic, systematic, or algorithmic trading within equities or futures markets.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or related fields from a top-tier university.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or C .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in both Chinese and English to facilitate effective global communication.
Additional Preferred Experience:
- Experience in trade execution, quantitative research, risk management, operations, or IT.
- Deep knowledge and passion for financial markets, with a strong understanding of equities, futures, and other financial instruments.
