Job Summary :

Tareen Dermatology has an exciting opportunity to support the the Faribault clinics growth and is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to act as the clinic site manager. The LPN Site Manager will work closely with Dermatologists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care, perform clinical tasks, and ensure a positive experience for patients in a fast-paced dermatology practice. The LPN is responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures, and nursing practice guidelines.

The Clinic Site Manager is responsible to ensure the clinic is running efficiently daily.

Requirements

Licensed Practical Nurse :

  • Prepare patients for dermatology exams and procedures by reviewing medical history and addressing patient concerns.
  • Accompanies provider into the patient examination room in order to transcribe a history and physical exam, and documents accurately the provider's encounter with the patient.
  • Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and / or recording medical history; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment.
  • Acts as liaison between providers and support staff; mediating issues and problems as necessary.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Treats patients with excimer laser and nbUVB phototherapy while making educated and accurate dosing decisions.
  • Provides care for patients undergoing cosmetic and dermatological procedures. This includes conducting consultations with patients, performing procedures, educating patients, and providing pre- and post-operative care.
  • Monitors, maintains and stocks exam rooms.
  • Accurately and thoroughly documents medical visits and procedures as they are being performed at the direction of the provider.
  • Ensures that all clinical data, lab or other test results and the interpretation of the results by the provider are recorded accurately in the medical record.
  • Generates and submits orders as directed by the provider.
  • Provide direct assistance to physicians with surgical and medical procedures, such as excisions, skin biopsies, wart treatments, cosmetic treatments, etc.
  • Provide wound care, suture removal, and post-procedure instructions to patients.
  • Provide patient education including treatment plans, prescribed medication, and pre- and post- treatment care guidance.
  • Accurately and thoroughly complete medical documentation in our EMR.
  • Handle and label specimens for lab analysis following proper protocols.
  • Perform clinical and administrative duties such as phlebotomy, instrument cleaning, phone calls, and scheduling.
  • Comply with quality control and safety standards per CLIA and OSHA policies.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Site Manager :

  • Acts as the point of contact for any patient complaints. Appropriately communicates with patients in the instances of difficult situations and escalates the concerns to higher level leader if needed.
  • Manages all emergency situations within scope. Is responsible for contacted to appropriate leader for additional support as needed. This could in include but it not limited to power outages, building maintenance, fire safety, severe weather, Copier / Printer issues, general IT issues, ect.)
  • Acts as the point of contact for all employees, including SRT staff, and external vendors in respective locations. Provides onsite leadership and communicates personnel concerns timely to respective department managers.
  • Follows up with staff and providing them with feedback timely and partnering with the manager and / or HR in a timely manner for all employee relation issues as needed.
  • Manages the flow of the clinic schedule to ensure efficient and on-time visits.
  • Coordinates quarterly meetings with employees at respective locations, keeping all employees up to date with new updates within the clinic and holding staff accountable with expectations and standards.
  • Communicates clinical inventory needs when additional supplies are needed.
  • Maintains appropriate BBP and sharps waste collection through following proper disposal guidelines established by Stericycle and the Department of Transportation.
  • Verify all expiration dates on non-refrigerated and refrigerated samples and brings all expired samples to the dispensary. Acts as the main contact for providers / head MAs when additional samples need to be requested. Facilitate the signature from an MD for samples with the product sales representative
  • Partners with the marketing team and acts as the main point of contact for any site-specific social media needs.
  • Responsible to ensure the KOH has been updated / documented monthly.
  • Understands cosmetic consultation protocol and acts as the liaison between medical and cosmetic team as needed in the specific location.
  • Communicates any cosmetic related patient complaints and / or low inventory to the Cosmetic Director in instances when the clinic aesthetician is not available.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • This position indirectly manages the clinical and non-clinical team at the Faribault location.
  • Education and Experience : .

  • Active LPN license in Minnesota in good standing.
  • Previous experience in dermatology or a clinical setting preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 2 years previous leadership experience in the healthcare setting rquired.
  • Work Environment :
