What are the responsibilities and job description for the Natural Gas Scheduler position at Targa Resources Careers?
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Nominate natural gas movements on inter/intrastate pipeline EBBs meeting all NAESB/FERC cycle deadlines
- Monitor pipeline EBBs and communicate directly with Pipeline Reps to track/report upcoming planned maintenance, current pipeline curtailments and any other operational issues impacting deliverability
- Manage and balance pipeline transportation/storage agreements, communicate M-T-D balances with the Marketing team and coordinate with Pipeline Reps to reduce/eliminate any exposure
- General understanding of natural gas fundamentals and physical gas flow
- Basic understanding of TSAs (structure) and 3rd Party Tariff/SOC language
- Update and balance internal trading systems (Allegro) to ensure timely and accurate reporting (both daily and monthly)
- Develop and maintain valuable relationships with internal (Acct, Comm, Mkt etc.) and external (Suppliers, Customers, Pipe Reps etc.) counterparts
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or related equivalent experience
- Must be able to perform at a high-level with minimum supervision in a team environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet strict time-sensitive deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Position may be filled at various levels depending on the experience and job skills of the successful candidate
- Regular and reliable attendance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge of NAESB standards and guidelines as it relates to nominations, confirmation, scheduling and allocations
- General understanding of equity production supply, gathering systems, processing plants and downstream optionality
- Experience pathing in Allegro/Horizon and/or nominating in Latitude/QuickNom
- Scheduling experience on pipelines such as Oneok WTX, NNG, GCX, HPL, Trunkline, Whistler etc.
