What are the responsibilities and job description for the AutoCAD Drafter position at Targa?
POSITION SUMMARY :
This Technical Drafter position is responsible for the preparation of new drawings or field verification and modification of detailed, technical, 2D drawings of Mont Belvieu's Fractionation Plants and Terminals, ensuring compliance with standards, specifications, codes, and regulations using computer aided design and drafting methods and hand produced modifications of existing drawings.
This position involves considerable outdoor time commitment exposed to ambient weather and temperature conditions to walk-down and verify As-Built drawings. Must be able to mark up redlines and then make proper corrections to CAD files. Candidates must be able to work with Sr. Drafter or Supervisor to define priorities and work scope but must also be able to perform work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision in the required time.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintain As-Built, Conceptual, Compliance related Drawings related to the Fractionation and Storage of LPG Gas
- Provide support to Management, Operations, Engineering, Projects, ES&H, I&E, PSM & Maintenance teams in the development of all drawing disciplines & Systems.
- Assist in the M.O.C. process and verify redlines and maintain As-Built file folders located in key areas.
- Review and responsible for walk downs & signoffs related to drawings as assigned.
- Assist in Audits, HAZOP, MOC / PSSR, and System reviews.
- Maintain Relief valve database.
- Other duties as assigned
