Our client is seeking an IT Security Manager who will plan, execute, and manage network initiatives in the enterprise, inclusive of implementation of new technologies and management of the existing network environment.
Responsibilities :
The Manager of IT Security will be assigned to our client to manage project teams for the installation and integration of new security tools and related policies. He / she will work to prevent the interruption to IT services and loss of productivity related to security vulnerabilities or policies. The manager will provide relevant security input during the budgeting cycle. This is a hands-on position that requires team management experience.
- Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.
- Web Filtering.
- Anti-Virus and Malware remediation.
- IDS / IPS.
- PKI.
- Application Whitelisting.
- Firewalls.
- System hardening and patch management.
- Security policy creation, implementation, and auditing.
- 1-3 years of experience developing system life cycle management programs and policies as they relate to security.
- Specific expertise in PCD or SCADA security would be a plus.
- Strong relationships with security & network experts within the region.
- Requesting approval for projects to IT management.
- Team resource allocation.
- Status and closure reporting.
- Oversee and / or assist with internal processes, periodic audits, assessments and tests (HIPAA, SOX, etc.).
- Serve as an expert to security staff with possible on-call escalation.
- Manage, forecast (as appropriate), and analyze production requests / issues.
- Manage the resolution with business relevant solutions.

Position Requirements :

Desired Education :
Bachelor of Science Degree strongly preferred.
Desired Experience :
Technical experience, usually gained with 5 to 7 years of experience as a security analyst or security engineer with :
Management experience, usually gained with 3 to 5 years of experience as a team lead or project manager with :
Desired Certifications :
CISSP, CCIE, CCNP, CCDP or other professional certifications. PMP Certification is a plus.
