- Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience building and managing a guest first culture on your team
- Knowledge of retail business fundamentals including: department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies
- Experience setting and planning department(s) monthly/quarterly workload to support business priorities and managing a team to deliver on sales goals
- Knowledge of the competition; leveraging insights to drive business objectives
- Experience managing a team of hourly team members and leaders; creating business specific strategies and goals
- Skills in recruiting, selecting and talent management of hourly team members and leaders
As an Executive Team Leader Remodel, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
- Build, train and lead a knowledgeable and engaged remodel team
- Be accountable to remodel payroll budget planning and spend to ensure a successful remodel
- Leverage tools and resources to develop project-specific plans that align with company remodel strategy
- Stay up-to-date on all communication impacting remodel execution
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Field Implementation Business Partners (FIBPs) and construction partners (On-Site Representative, General Contractors, sub trades, etc.)
- Keep remodel project timely through daily planning, execution and collaboration with store and construction teams
- Lead and direct remodel transition process, inclusive of fixtures, signs, displays, etc.
- Communicate weekly remodel workload and milestone progress to appropriate partners and be a conduit for information and feedback
- Serve as the key remodel point of contact within store for all field and group partners, including leading store visits and providing weekly recaps
- Partner with the Operations Director on backroom setup and operational opportunities
- Partner with the FIBP to ensure the store remodel team is meeting remodel operational timelines and update when complete or changes need to be made
- Proactively identify issues and follow correct escalation paths to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Reorder fixtures, signing, displays, supplies and equipment to ensure all materials needed for sets are received
- Verify OSR and GC update and complete construction punch list until turned over to the PML
- Lead turnover responsibilities, which include completing guest readiness milestone, excess fixture return and recognizing team for remodel completion
- Partner with SD to identify post turnover remodel captain and delegate execution of post-turnover nonretail issues
- Ensure PML resolves all remaining punch list items
- Develop a strategy and utilize your workload planning tools to complete all scheduled workload ensuring you are guest ready at all times
- Create a scheduling plan based off of business workload and guest traffic
- Conduct regular check-ins with your team to ensure completion of tasks and workload
- Know and assess the competition; leverage guest insights and feedback to drive the business and be the destination of choice for our guests
- Lead and create a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience. Model, train and coach expectations to deliver the service standard.
- Model and coach the team on how to balance tasks with guest service
- Plan, manage and follow-up on organizational and operational change
- Anticipate and identify changes in unique store trends
- Develop and coach your Team Leaders to elevate their skills and expertise
- Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management
- Anticipate staffing needs, talent plan and recruit – both long and short term
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; lead team to work in the same way and hold others accountable to this commitment
- As a key carrier, follow all safe and secure training and processes
- Address store needs (emergency, regulatory visits, etc.)
- All other duties based on business needs

The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be an Executive Team Leader Remodel. But, there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:
- 4 year degree or equivalent experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong business acumen
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
- Manage conflict, lead and hold others accountable
- Relate well with and interact with all levels of the organization
- Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making, financial and quantitative analysis
- Learn and adapt to current technology needs
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
