About the Role :

As a Junior Pre-Construction Manager , you'll be the driving force behind the cost-estimating phase of projects. This role is client-facing and in-office , requiring strong conceptual estimating skills and experience in commercial general contracting. You'll work closely with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and architects to develop pricing strategies, determine schedules, and manage procurement.

  • Ideal candidates will have recent experience specializing in the pre-construction phase.

    • Must-Haves :

  • 3-5 years of combined operations and estimating experience, with a strong pre-construction focus
  • Commercial General Contractor background
  • Strong conceptual estimating experience
  • Project portfolio showcasing budgets (REQUIRED for submission)
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in project scheduling software & Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license
  • Key Skills & Abilities :
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to develop strategies for project improvement
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and operational thinking
  • Ability to embrace and leverage technology for process improvement

    • Compensation & Benefits :

  • 75K - $80K DOE (Higher compensation available for 5 years of direct pre-construction experience)
  • Extensive Benefits & Bonus Structure

    • Work Schedule :

  • Full-time | Project-Based
  • Typically 40 hours per week , with flexibility (some weeks may be 30 hours, others up to 48)

    • Additional Details :

  • In-Office Requirement – This is a client-facing role, requiring daily presence in the Kansas City office.
  • Relocation Support Available – Candidates from Wichita or Omaha (2-3 hours away) must be willing to relocate.
  • Partial Remote Option – While relocating, some remote work may be possible.
