Job Title: Tumbler/Cure Room Attendant
Employment Type: Full Time
Department: Packaging Department
Reports To: Packaging Supervisor
Back-up: Packaging Supervisor Backup, Packaging Supervisor
Working Hours: Mon – Thu, 5:15am-3:45pm
Location: TPT Plant
FLSA: Hourly
Overall Focus:
The responsibility of the Cure Room Attendant is to manage the day to day operation and utilization of the Targeted Pet Treats Curing Room and Tumbler area. Ensuring the packaging lines’ needs for product supply are always met. This job description is not intended to be all inclusive of every job function. All employees shall perform as directed by their supervisor or management team.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Ensure all product flows into and out of the Cure Room
- Ensure comprehensive shift to shift communication
- Work closely with QA to ensure samples for testing are made available
- Work closely with Packaging to ensure product needing tumbled is scheduled and completed to ensure timeliness in packaging
- Commitment to establishing & exceeding quality & food safety expectations
Qualifications – Knowledge and skills necessary to meet organizational objectives
- Education/Training/Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred
- Certifications/Licenses: N/A
Knowledge and Skills:
- Curing Room Attendant shall perform product rotation duties in accordance with established daily, weekly and monthly procedures
- Curing Room Attendant shall perform to the standards set forth by the Quality Assurance standard for releasing product to packaging
- Tumbling duties to be performed as established on all product identified.
