FedEx Delivery Driver/Manager

Looking to hire one motivated, reliable delivery driver/manager/BC for the Whitsett hub. Responsibilities/job description includes:

• Doing pre-trip inspections on the vehicles with the drivers
• Checking the previous day's complaints or missing deliveries
• Overseeing the pre-load on the van line and making sure each truck is squared away and ready for the day, moving stops if needed
• Making sure your route, if you are assigned one that day, is organized for delivery
• Filling in for drivers who are out on vacation or who call out in the morning
• Communicating requirements by FedEx or myself, policy changes, or solutions for problems that may be happening to the drivers
• Moving pick ups to routes that service them
• Monitoring the drivers during the day, checking delivery codes on packages not delivered, looking up additional delivery info for drivers when needed, taking care of any emergencies that can arise during the shift
• Helping or overseeing with training, safety meetings, road tests, and scheduling
• Transporting rental trucks, trucks that require maintenance or tire changes, and taking batteries to drivers who need them

I do not place the DRO duties on my BC at this time, if that changes we would discuss raising the pay

Need to be someone who shows up to work every day with a good attitude, haves some hustle in you, and can solve problems on the go.

Looking to hire immediately. I service Browns Summit and part of eastern Burlington.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $800.00 - $850.00 per week
