Compensation: $19.00
**$250.00 Bonus for an active Guard Card** (paid after 90 days of employment)
**$250.00 Bonus for an active Guard Card** (paid after 180 days of employment)
Non licensed security officers
License fee reimbursement after 90 days

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides direct security and related public services.
Responsibilities
You will conduct the following responsibilities upholding Tarian’s commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community.
- Serve our posts at major Airports and Government Services facilities. Our Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the facility, its staff, and visitors -- and serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on property.
- Act as a highly visible deterrent and as a deterrent to criminal activity while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
- Notify supervisors and on-site client staff of any irregularities, suspicious activities, security breaches, and safety hazards.
- Write and submit standardized reports that are prompt, professional, and accurate relative to the incident. Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
- Patrol and observe interior and exterior area of client properties in person or via surveillance systems to identify suspicious or unusual activity and to investigate as needed.
- Respond to emergency situations according to Tarian and client policies & procedures.
- Coordinate and assist first responder response to the client site and assist first responders while they are on site.
- Applies policies and procedures appropriately based on existing circumstances.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Be available to work any day on the assigned SRO shift (1st / 2nd / 3rd)
Be able to respond to the site within 2 hours as needed
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Completed High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
- Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a person
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Tarian’s driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles)
Desired Qualification of the Security Officer:
- Previous work experience with the public in a service setting
