What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Finishing Processor (Commercial) position at Tarkett?
SHIFT HOURS:
T-F 5PM - 3AM
Schedule can vary during peak season.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Work on the tile press. Inspect tile, catch, and stack tile. Lift boxes with tile—stack tile boxes. Work on the Inspection table—wrap rolls of carpet. Inspect carpet.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to the supervisor and Human Resources. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other company associates.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
COMPUTER OPERATIONS
Basic personal computer skills.
PLANNING/ORGANIZATION
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Well-lighted, heated indoor work area setting with adequate ventilation.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY LEVEL
Heavy physical activity performs strenuous daily activities, primarily productive/technical.

Manual dexterity is sufficient to reach /handle items, work with the fingers, and perceive objects and materials' attributes.
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS
Varying shift schedule – 8 hours, 10 hours & 12 hours, depending on backlog. Must change schedule with very little notice.

- Move and stack tile boxes weighing 45 lbs.
- Label boxes.
- Inspect and wrap roll goods.
- Housekeeping
- Other duties assigned by the supervisor.
