Beynon Sports Surfaces is looking for a self-motivated and highly organized Field Superintendent to manage all phases of construction projects. This role involves overseeing project planning, scheduling, estimating, and execution, as well as providing on-site supervision. You will be responsible for coordinating all trade contractors, reviewing architectural and engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with regulations, and ensuring the timely completion of projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with asphalt and concrete construction, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities :
- Planning and Scheduling (35%) :
Develop and implement cost-effective plans and schedules for project completion. Coordinate resource utilization and ensure work conflicts are resolved between subcontractors. Oversee performance to ensure all work complies with specifications and regulations.
Review bid documents, plans, and specifications. Assess on-site needs for change orders and work with the team to address deficiencies and modify construction practices accordingly.
Provide on-site supervision when Beynon is the General Contractor. Assist foremen and crews with field events and repairs as needed, and be available for extended on-site support.
Document project progress with detailed reports, notes, and photos. Maintain clear communication with project owners, architects, and the office regarding any issues or modifications.
Attend pre-bid, pre-construction, and project progression meetings. Conduct site inspections, including reviewing asphalt conditions, and communicate with the General Contractor or Owner as necessary.
Qualifications :
Expertise in asphalt and concrete construction (curbs, flat work, sub-grade remediation, base / asphalt installation, and elevation).
