In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that finished products and materials meet all customer requirements and quality standards before being released for shipment. You’ll play an essential role in following QC work instructions, documenting test results, and ensuring batch adjustments are made as needed to meet specifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Quality Control of Materials:
- Perform QC on materials as required and ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
- Document test results accurately on batch records, including material usage, adjustments, and steps taken.
- Collaborate with CPO’s to adjust batches and ensure they meet QC specifications.
- Test raw materials, rework, and non-conforming products as needed.
- Operational Support:
- Maintain lab equipment, ensuring safe operation, cleaning, and calibration procedures are followed.
- Work with toxic chemicals while adhering to safe laboratory practices.
- Assist in product development and scale-ups with the R&D team.
- Team Collaboration:
- Contribute to continuous improvements, ensuring customer requirements are met.
- Participate in team discussions, provide feedback on QC performance, and proactively assist with problem-solving.
- Perform pilot batches for experimental formulations or small order requests.
- Other Duties:
- Follow all safety procedures and assist in the achievement of company goals.
- Help colleagues as needed to ensure smooth operations within the department.
- Be available for overtime during peak production seasons (June 1 - October 31).
- Education & Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field is preferred.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in a quality control or laboratory role is highly desirable.
- Experience with polyurethanes, quality analysis, and OSHA regulations is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with personal computers (email, word processing, spreadsheets, and data entry).
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a lab environment with potential exposure to fumes and chemicals.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within a team.
- Proactive and reliable, with the ability to make informed decisions under limited supervision.
