What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk - (Commercial) position at Tarkett?
PURPOSE OF JOB:
Maintain the day-to-day LTO and clerical function of the shipping department. This includes the tracking of paperwork and follow-through of all paperwork.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Must track and maintain paperwork for loading and unloading of trucks.
- Track and maintain inventory levels for goods stored in the warehouse
- Use SAP to enter data into the computer.
- Load and unload trucks
- Make BOL’s for needed shipments
- Monitor general warehouse cleanliness and storage
- Other duties as instructed by the supervisor/manager
NEEDED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Basic Computer skills (SAP, Outlook, and Excel).
- Ability to read and write
- Good knowledge of office procedures.
- Good knowledge of office machines (fax, copier, calculator, and printers).
- Good phone skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to drive a Lift Truck
- Must be able to communicate with freight lines and other departments within the company.
