Job Description

Assists head coach with coaching, recruiting, game day preparation and travel requirements. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). ; Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate.

Responsibilities

50% Coaches student athletes individually and in groups, and demonstrates game techniques. May manage a designated skill development area or group of positions. Instructs student athletes on physical health, team concepts and safety. Instructs student athletes in the rules and fundamentals of their sport. Maintains thorough knowledge of and adheres to all Tarleton, Association, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

30% Assists Head Coach with recruiting efforts, travel arrangements, equipment management and game day preparations.

15% This position may be required to perform tasks related to game administration of sporting events hosted by Tarleton State University.

5% Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous coaching experience.
