About the Position
The Department Head of Engineering Technology is a pivotal role at Tarleton State University, driving academic and administrative leadership in the department. This position oversees faculty, staff, and student affairs, playing a key role in budget and resource management, strategic planning, and external stakeholder engagement.
This 12-month tenured position reports to the Dean of the Mayfield College of Engineering and requires occasional travel to all campus locations served by the department. The successful candidate will also fulfill teaching and research duties sufficient to hold the rank of a tenured Full Professor.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing a vision for the department in alignment with the overall vision of the college and university.
- Leading the development and implementation of a departmental strategic plan.
