Overview
The Marketing & Advertising Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of all Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) paid and earned media advertising strategies for both internal and external audiences.
Essential Responsibilities
· Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing and advertising campaigns across multiple channels on behalf of TAFB, a hunger relief organization serving a 13-county service area.
· Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and advertising strategies before allocating budgeted funds and track the performance of all campaigns, assessing their success against goals and making recommendations for improvements.
· Manage all aspects of paid advertising tactics, including search engine optimization (SEO), digital ads, social media, print, and direct mail advertising.
· Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to launch targeted marketing and advertising campaigns on time and within the assigned budget for paid and earned media.
· Lead the development of strategic, compelling, and creative messaging for all TAFB’s creative content copy, including official statements, press releases, talking points, website content, social media posts, graphics, videos, emails, print materials, and other creative messaging.
· Create, write, pitch, and distribute news releases, media alerts, speeches, press kits, articles, op-eds, newsletters, and reports.
· Manage media relations, including maintaining regular contact with target media and ensuring timely and appropriate responses to media requests, while providing background information on hunger-related issues at the local, state, and national levels.
· Oversee vendor relationships for marketing and advertising services, including negotiating pricing, managing budgets, and ensuring the delivery of services for internal and external projects.
Additional Duties
· Maintain regular communication with the Marketing & Communications team to identify marketing and communications needs.
· Promote and articulate TAFB's mission, vision, values, and brand.
· Identify industry trends and insights, providing thought leadership on effective marketing and advertising tactics.
· Develop and maintain a TAFB crisis communication plan.
· Partner with team members to ensure consistent creative alignment across projects in line with TAFB’s brand standards, one-voice policy, and style guide.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, advertising, or public relations, with 3 years of experience in the field.
· Demonstrated ability acquiring and cultivating relationships with media & pitching stories.
· Proven experience in budget development and management.
· Demonstrated ability in managing the design and production of print materials and publications, website content, social media, and video production.
· Strong background in the design and execution of integrated marketing and communications efforts.
Technical Proficiencies
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, website platforms, and other marketing and communications tools.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
· Work primarily in an office setting, with occasional work in a warehouse or at outdoor events
· This position requires extended periods of sitting and frequent repetitive motion for data entry
· Regular travel within the 13-county service area; must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.
· Flexibility in work schedule, with occasional early mornings, weekend, and evening availability
