Essential Duties And Responsibilities
NOTE: You must fill out the work history and education sections of application to show you have years of experience/education as required by hiring department or be disqualified.
Associate's degree in a related field Four (4) full-time years' experience in building operations including three (3) full-time years of building operations management experience.

High School Diploma or GED Six (6) full-time years' experience in building operations including three (3) full-time years of building operations management experience.
Supervisory training preferred.
Must have knowledge of basic building operations, life safety systems, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Must be computer literate in Windows and have knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing.
Current And Valid TX Driver's License Required.
(THE SELECTED CANDIDATE(S) FOR THIS POSITION MUST TAKE AND PASS A PRE-PLACEMENT PHYSICAL EXAMINATION)
THIS POSITION MAY REQUIRE OVERTIME, ROTATING SHIFTS, NIGHTS, EVENINGS, WEEKENDS, AND HOLIDAY WORK.
If hired, must provide proof of educational attainment at new hire processing.
Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudication in the past seven years and may include credit reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, walk, grasp, climb, pull and push. This position may require overtime, rotating shifts nights, evenings, weekends and holiday work. Candidates must have the ability to pass a criminal background investigation prior to employment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Directs technician’s and custodial staff on regular duties and special projects.
- Prioritizes and assigns work to all employees in order to provide proper service to all building occupants.
- Works with vendors and contractors, overseeing the work and ensuring that it is performed properly.
- Inputs all requisitions and receipts for materials and services received into computer.
- Oversees the operating budget and controls expenses within the assigned budget.
- Makes recommendations for capital budget and proves cost estimates.
- Performs general office work including maintaining work logs, employee time, logbooks, keeping inventory and providing the Operations Manager with monthly reports and budget information.
- Trains employees on the proper safety and operation of building systems.
- Visits with all building occupants to ensure that their needs are met and gets their suggestions on any recommended improvements.
- Performs all other related duties involved in the operation of Facilities Management as assigned or required.
