Reporting to the assigned campus leader, the Enrollment Associate is responsible for performing a variety of high-level clerical and administrative duties related to processing student admissions applications and related information.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements*
- Prints applications and enters data into the Tarrant County College (TCC) System
- Conducts various research to establish student academic status prior to entering TCC, including accreditation of other institutions, residency status, high school graduation status, home school status, veterans’ status
- Maintains knowledge on state regulations and TCC policies and procedures; applies knowledge to the application process
- Processes readmission requests, updating demographic information, residency, academic history, and academic status
- Receives and processes incoming high school transcripts; verifies graduation status, ranks, and grade point average; analyzes test scores to determine eligibility to be exempt from testing
- Assists students and prospective students in person, by phone, and in writing; provides instructions based on TCC policies and procedures
- Interacts with a variety of databases, ensuring confidentiality of all stored data, processes a variety of documents, forms, reports and files, and processes continuing education information
- Organizes and distributes the workload of the office; schedules appointments and maintains office calendar
- Coordinates workflow with other departments and programs on campus
- Performs more advanced administrative work depending on area of assignment and assists supervisor in office management duties
- Interprets and follows prescribed procedures for the production of a large volume of work
- Orders and stocks office supplies; maintains list of office equipment, including computer hardware and software
Service Excellence
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
- Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the assigned campus leader
- Performs Other Related Tasks as Required

Required Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED); two (2) years related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and related experience
- Associate’s degree or 60 college hours
- At least one (1) year’s working experience in a higher education admission or international student processing office
- At least one (1) year’s working experience with international students in a higher education setting
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
- Skilled using computerized applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representatives of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Special Instructions Summary
This position is in the International Student Admissions & Compliance unit and works primarily with students who have or need F-1 student visas. The person in this position will serve as a designated school official (DSO) in SEVIS for TCC.
